GAF Control is recalling Heller and Sunair brand of
Portable Room Heaters rated at 1800-2000W
Models affected:
Heller brand fan heater models: FHH06, FHH15, FHH20 & FHH20A
Sunair brand fan heater models: SFH06, SFH15, SFH20 & SFH20A
The model number is marked on the rating label which is located at the base of the heater.
These heaters were supplied throughout Australia from April 2012 to November 2014 by the following retailers: Betta Electrical, Birite Electrical, Bunnings, Harvey Norman, JB Hifi, John Danks, Leading Appliances, Masters Home Improvement, Mitre 10, Officeworks, Stratco, The Good Guys and others.
Defects:
The heaters do not comply with the flammability requirements of the Australian standard. Internal wiring may be loose and may make contact with moving parts.
Hazard: Risk of fire and burns.
What Should I Do?
- Stop using the heater immediately and unplug it from the socket outlet.
- Contact the store of your purchase for a full refund.
